The NCBI also determined that capsaicin can increase the heat which your body produces, in turn helping your body burn more calories and boost your metabolism. The NCBI also found that cayenne pepper extract reduces the levels of ghrelin within your bloodstream, a hormone that is responsible for the feeling of hunger. [4]
