What are the Health Benefits of Resveratrol?
Being an antioxidant, resveratrol fights harmful cells called free radicals, which float around the bloodstream causing many issues. High levels of free radicals have been linked to cancer as well as many other chronic illnesses. Another one of the chronic illnesses which antioxidants like resveratrol can help prevent and treat is high blood pressure and all of the complications which can evolve from it. A 2015 review concluded that a high dosage of resveratrol can help reduce the pressure exerted on artery walls when the heart beats. This alleviation of pressure is what is called systolic blood pressure. In this way, resveratrol can also help lower your systolic blood pressure level.
